Q&A: My wife and I work full-time jobs. When I come home, I don't have energy for quality time. What do we do?

A: You have to make time to be with each other when you have energy. We all have sections of the day when we’re more alive than other sections of the day. If your energy is spent, you’re not going to have quality time together. On the weekends, rather than spending all of your time mowing the grass or playing golf—and then coming home exhausted on Saturday night just like other nights of the week—spend time together. Find a time every week when the two of you can have quality time together. There is no substitute for simply discipline.
