Application Process
- Review available dates for 2010: July 31 and August 7. The following dates are available for 2011: January 22; February 26; March 5, 19, and 26; April 9 and 16; August 27; September 10 and 24; October 8 and 22; November 5 and 12.
- Read the information below and submit an application.
- Once your application has been approved, you will be asked to submit a signed agreement.
Host Requirements
- A facility that is able to seat 700 conference attendees
- Facility, audio/visual equipment and staff, security (if needed), and janitorial services (as needed), provided at no cost to Moody
- Staff and/or at least 16 volunteers who are available to fully support the conference from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Volunteers attend free!
- Bottled water for attendees—enough for both breaks—made available by the host church
Hosting Fee: A hosting fee of $1,000 is due at the time of booking the conference and does not apply towards ticket purchasing. This fee is in addition to the required advance ticket purchase.
Advance Ticket Purchase: The host church agrees to purchase 300 tickets at $35 each to sell to their congregation and community. This advance purchase of 300 tickets is without possibility of refund or exchange of any kind.
Covered Expenses: Moody covers Dr. Gary Chapman’s honorarium, travel, meals and hotel. We also send a representative to coordinate the host church's volunteer team and provide on-site coordination.
Anchor Churches: If your church is interested in hosting The Marriage You've Always Wanted biennially (example: 2010 and 2012), please note this in the comments section of your application and we will contact you with more information.
Note: The 300 tickets that the host church purchases and sells are independent of whatever is sold through Moody Conferences. It is important to make your congregation (and perhaps community) aware that they should purchase their tickets directly from the host church.
Marketing
Newspapers: The host church should pursue free and/or paid advertisements with local print media to promote the conference.
Radio: Moody may choose to pursue (and pay for) advertising spots on Christian radio stations.
Direct Mail: Moody will mail two to three different promotional pieces to a list of as many local churches as we can assemble (typically 500-1,000 churches). We also mail materials to past conference attendees in the host church's area.
Local Churches: The host church is asked to utilize their network of relationships with other local Christian leaders by sending a letter of invitation to at least 20 churches in the community. (Ideally, the host church will engage other local churches to participate in the conference and help sell at least 300 tickets.)
Promotional Tools: Moody will supply the host church with flyers and posters. We will also supply graphics, if the host church desires to produce their own promotional materials.
Note: Radio ads will state the host church's name, city, and state and will direct listeners to the Moody Conferences Web site and phone number for additional conference details.

Moody Bible Institute sells its resources at the conference free of any revenue sharing or sales fees.
Moody Bible Institute is a non-profit ministry. Revenue from Moody Bible Institute conferences help fund the ministries of the Institute, particularly our education efforts. Continuing financial contributions ensure our ability to offer tuition-free education to our undergraduate students.
